Clairefontaine Fine Notebooks
Located in the Vosges region of France, Clairefontaine was established on the site of a 16th century paper mill. The Clairefontaine mill has been making paper since 1858 and stationery products since 1890. The River Meurthe supplies the water for Clairefontaine's Vosges mill. The water is so clean when it leaves their high performance biological treatment station that local people can fish, swim and boat downstream within sight of the manufacturing facility. The company is best known for being the first school stationery manufacturer in France.

As with all Clairefontaine products, the paper comes from sustainably farmed forests and feels incredibly smooth to the touch. The dual wire construction differentiates this line of notebooks from the traditional spiral bound for its sheer durability. With this line of notebooks, gone are the days of being unable to access pages without tearing due to wear on the wire binding. The binding on this notebook holds its shape and easily bends back to place if serious pressure has been exerted upon it.
